Canoe for Cancer is a grassroots event which has been held by the Brant-Norfolk office of the Canadian Cancer Society for 29 years now. This year we are looking to make the event bigger and better then ever, so we are inviting all intersted people to come participate. This year the event is being held on September 19th, 2009. The event is held in Paris, Ontario, as participants met in Paris and are shuttled off to Glen Morris to begin. Attendees then spend a half-day enjoying the unique and natural beauty of the Grand River, as we canoe or kayak back towards Paris. There is also a picnic lunch provided by Cafe de Paris as part of your package.

To participate we ask that you raise as much money as you can, with all the procedes going directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. If you do not have your own canoe, we request that you raise at least $150 to off set the rental fee. If you do have your own canoe or kayak and you raise over $100, you are eligable to recieve an incentive prize. We have participants come all the way from Oshawa to enjoy this event, as this event is truly unique. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy the Grand River, meet other canoe and kayak enthusiasts, and support a fantastic cause.
